Hugo Troffaes is a Belgian photographer living in Mespelare, a small village in Flandres, close to Brussels. Already as a young man, he was fascinated by the world of photography, experimenting and developing pictures in his own dark room.
The last two decades he explored street, landscape and animal photography. Traveling around the world he was especially fascinated by southern Africa where the beauty of wildlife photography got his full attention.
His most recent work , also in Black and White tries to give an insight into the daily struggle, the structure and the warm family life of some of the most beautiful and endangered animals on earth. Through his photographs he tries to demand respect for those original residents of our planet and nature in general.
